Is Snap in trouble or are we losing the bigger picture?

Hi all

One story that I found interesting in Today’s daily is Snap’s gloomy forecast which lead to its record stock tumble.

Do you think that Snap is going to recover or have they fallen behind their tech rivals for good? Or, given advert spending could be vulnerable to a downturn, which tech giant do you think could be next? I noticed that Meta and Twitter have both cut their spending recently with advertisers facing a shaky economy and new privacy rules, such as Apple’s new restrictions.

While Snap focused mostly on macroeconomic factors, I feel Snap’s major flaw is that it has designed itself in such a manner that it has limited itself because more millennials use Snapchat as opposed to TikTok – while predominantly being Gen-Z dominant, is branching itself out. I still think Apple’s privacy changes are going to make it tougher for companies as well as the fact that spending, in general, will go down in inflationary times.
