The Founder’s Story: Peter Watson

I LOVE business news and financial markets – and my mission is to help you love it as well!

Being able to translate business news and economic events into something actionable doesn’t come naturally to most people, which is why I’m here to help you!

A large chunk of my background is in stockbroking, where I advised some of the biggest financial institutions in the world on which stocks to buy and sell in the UK, European and Japanese stock markets. I have also spent a number of years in headhunting where I have recruited candidates from junior analysts to CEOs.

Back in 2014 I thought I’d put this 20-year career to good use and help people prepare for jobs by writing a newsletter. I started off by writing it in my basement (it was very cold – no heating!) but I am pleased to say that I have upgraded my working environment significantly since then!

I think that most people are passive consumers of news – and this means that most of it goes to waste. Watson’s Daily helps you to look at news in a different and more proactive way which helps you to understand it better and it also shows you how to link themes and spot trends, which is an extremely useful skill to nurture.
