“EG” stands for “Euro Garages”. The company was founded by the Issa brothers in 2001 on a single site in Bury, Greater Manchester. It now has around 340 sites in the UK and bought Little Chef in 2017. It is also Europe’s biggest franchisee for KFC but it hit the headlines in October 2020 for buying Asda from Walmart
