We often use Watson’s Daily as a starter in my Business and/or Economics lessons. It is a succinct summary of the key financial news in a 3 page document. It saves my pupils a lot of time and the fact it covers the very latest news makes it an even more compelling read.
The style is easy to read and it uses everyday language that A level students can understand. We particularly like the ‘SO WHAT’ summary at the end of the topics and the amusing material at the end of the daily newsletter is a nice touch
I like the fact it is a summary of a vast array of financial press in given in a timely (early morning) manner. It is the perfect length to get the key facts

I read Watson’s Daily on my computer before I start work or at morning break. I have encouraged my pupils to also sign up and we have an ‘economics in the news’ slot timetabled in every Thursday lesson.
