Walmart’s new hiring and training spree – is it a good idea?

Walmart aims to hire 50,000 workers by the end of April to expand its retail, health, wellness and advertising business’. As part of this initiative, Walmart will give its employees a chance to build long-term careers by offering training on digital skills and will boost its wellness capabilities. Should other retail companies follow suit to ensure that they retain their talent or do you think Walmart’s strategy will accomplish little and only increase costs? Please let me know!
