Etsy: ecommerce platform takes on the fee fighters

I am not so sure about the Etsy move right now. It used to be the best platform to sell crafty stuff, but recently there are more digital goods. People seek alternatives, especially now, when there are platforms without seller fees. It might seem like something completely irrelevant and minor, but I think in the future, platforms with more ads and collaboration will win and slowly kill these with extra fees.

Etsy -> gumroad (for digital goods)
depop -> vinted (clothing)

People are less attached to these platforms, and in my opinion, are more likely to shift to the newer/cheaper alternatives.
